The Sage NU235T5RS-ROHS is an electronic ballast for linear T5 fluorescents. The NU235T5RS-ROHS has the leads coming out of the side. It is a program start ballast* and operates on 120-277Vac. It measures 9.50 x 1.72 x 1.16 inches. It will operate 1 or 2 F28T5, or F35T5 fluorescent lamps.
*A programmed start ballast for fluorescent and UV-C lamps extends lamp life by gently preheating the electrodes before ignition. This "programmed" preheat prevents electrode damage, making it ideal for applications with frequent on/off cycling, like offices with occupancy sensors. While it causes a slight delay in illumination and costs a bit more, its ability to significantly prolong lamp life makes it a cost-effective choice in the long run.
