The Sage NAU232-ROHS is an electronic ballast for CFL, 2D, BIAX and 21w linear T5 fluorescents. The NAU232-ROHS has the leads coming out of the side. It is a program start ballast* and operates on 120-277Vac. It measures 5.00 x 2.50 x 1.18inches. It will operate (1) or (2) 26w or 32w, (1) 42w CFL's, (1) or (2) 21w or 28w 2D, (1) 36w, 40w or 50w, (2) 24w, 27w or 36w Biax (TT5, twin tube, or PLL) or (1) or (2) 21w T5 fluorescent lamps.
*A programmed start ballast for fluorescent and UV-C lamps extends lamp life by gently preheating the electrodes before ignition. This "programmed" preheat prevents electrode damage, making it ideal for applications with frequent on/off cycling, like offices with occupancy sensors. While it causes a slight delay in illumination and costs a bit more, its ability to significantly prolong lamp life makes it a cost-effective choice in the long run.
