The Aerovox 4409P / D83W4010M (or D83W4010M01H) is a high-reliability, dry film lighting capacitor specifically designed for High-Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting ballasts, such as 175W metal halide systems. Rated at 10 microfarads (10 uF) with a 3% tolerance and a operating voltage of 400 VAC, it features metallized film dielectric construction housed in a round, durable plastic or metal case. Equipped with 18 AWG wire lead terminations and integrated UL-810 fault current protection, it delivers safe, continuous-duty power factor correction and energy efficiency. Built to EIA-456-A standards and rated for up to 60,000 hours of operation at elevated temperatures, this non-polar capacitor is ideal for sign ballasts and heavy-duty HID lighting applications.
